All Valuables Removed Warning cards

The “All Valuables Removed” Warning Card is a notice designed to remind vehicle owners that they have an active role to play in preventing theft and vandalism from vehicles.

The card is placed on windshields of all vehicles in an identified area by Ottawa Police volunteers.  They are designed to alert vehicle owners to the risk of theft and contain helpful tips on how to keep vehicles and possessions safe.  The cards are also designed to be displayed on the vehicle’s interior to show “All Valuables Removed” – providing drivers with a handy prevention notice for their parked cars.

These “Theft Prevention Cards” contain a checklist of safety tips like:

  • Don’t leave personal identification, vehicle registration, insurance certificates or credit cards in your vehicle.
  • Remove valuables, and shopping bags and from view. This includes loose change and electronic devices.
  • Never leave your vehicle running and unattended.
  • Always close windows and lock all doors.
  • Never leave your car or house keys in your vehicle.
  • Park in well lit areas with pedestrian traffic.

Get involved in crime prevention. Use these tips to help prevent vehicle theft and theft from vehicles. For additional safety tips, please visit the OPS website or contact your Community Police Centre.
